As soon as you arrive in Heraklion, the dynamic capital of Crete, you will be seduced by its energy and contrasts. We'll meet for lunch in a traditional restaurant. This will be the perfect opportunity to meet the other participants and introduce the Zorba book. At this first meeting, everyone will share their motivations for this trip, as well as their expectations of Crete.
The afternoon will be devoted to immersing yourself in the city's history and culture. You will stroll through the picturesque streets of Heraklion, steeped in Venetian influence, and discover its emblematic monuments, true witnesses to the region's rich past. This journey back in time will give you a better understanding of the historical and cultural context evoked in the play.
In the evening, you will be treated to a vibrant folk show, celebrating the traditional dances and music of Crete. Over dinner, a book club will be organised around the themes of the spirit of adventure and embracing the unknown. Together we will explore how these ideas, embodied by the character, can enrich our lives. It's a day of discovery and exchange.

The day begins with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a scenic drive to Agios Nikolaos. This charming coastal town, bordered by Mirabello Bay, offers breathtaking views over the crystal-clear waters of Crete.
You will then embark on an unforgettable cruise across the bay. Along the way, you'll discover the Barbarossa cave, the remains of the ancient submerged town of Olous, and an island inhabited by Kri-Kri goats. A tasty lunch will be served on board, offering a mix of Greek and international flavours.
In the afternoon, we will visit the famous Grotto of Zeus, located on Mount Dikti. This mythical place, believed to be the birthplace of Zeus, is steeped in history and legend. During an on-site book club, we will discuss the search for meaning in Zorba's life and how he manages to transcend materialism to embrace a simple but profound spirituality.
In the evening, we return to Agios Nikolaos for a course in Greek instruments. You will learn to play the bouzouki, the symbol of Greek music, and end the day with a convivial dinner accompanied by inspiring discussions about spirituality and the lessons learned from the novel.

Start the day with breakfast before setting off for the picturesque village of Archanes, renowned for its wine-growing heritage and traditional crafts. You'll visit an olive oil farm where you'll learn about traditional production methods, before sampling high-quality local oils.
The morning will continue with a visit to a family winery, where you will learn the secrets of local grape varieties such as Kotsifali and Mandilari. The experience ends with a tasting of PDO red wines, accompanied by a typical Cretan lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum, located in the village of Myrtia. This museum, dedicated to the author, displays manuscripts, personal objects and photographs tracing his literary and philosophical career.
To round off the day, you'll take part in a pottery workshop where you'll create your own works while discussing the role of tradition in the novel and in our lives. A day of authenticity and creativity.
